Virtual Reality has been growing in popularity in the military realm. Most systems that are available pretty much require participants to remain relatively static. The Virtsim system takes VR to a new level in that there will be a mixture of real and virtual participants inside the simulation environment. While there are still a good number of artificialities associated with even and advanced system such as Virtsim, the technologies continue to advance. We might, one day, approach the Star Trek Holodeck after all!
